Horn Button ASSY: Replacement

HINT:

COMPONENTS: See HORN BUTTON ASSY 

1. PRECAUTION (See  SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM  ) 
2. SEPARATE BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL (See  SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM  ) 
3. REMOVE HORN BUTTON ASSY 
   NOTE: If the airbag connector is disconnected with the ignition switch at ON or ACC, DTCs will be recorded.
   1. Place the front wheels facing straight ahead.
   2. Using a Torx socket wrench (T30), loosen the 2 Torx screws until the groove along the screw circumference catches on the screw case.

   3. Pull out the horn button assy from the steering wheel assy.
   4. Disconnect the airbag connectors and horn connector, and remove the horn button assy.

4. INSPECT HORN BUTTON ASSY (See  ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION  ) 
5. INSTALL HORN BUTTON ASSY 
   1. Connect the airbag connectors and horn connector.
   2. Install the horn button assy after confirming that the circumference groove of the Torx screws is caught on the screw case.
   3. Using a Torx socket wrench(T30), install the 2 screws.

      Torque: 8.8 N.m (90 kgf.cm, 78 in.lbf) 

6. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT (See  DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM  )
