Circuit Description

Speed sensor for Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) detects wheel speed and sends the appropriate signal to ABS ECU. The ECU converts these signals into a 4 pulse signal and outputs it to the instrument cluster. Instrument cluster converts signal to a more precise waveform for ECM. DTC is set when ECM does not detect any signal while vehicle is in motion. Possible causes are:

• Instrument cluster.
• Open or short in ABS speed sensor circuit.
• ECM.
• ABS ECU.
