Belt Assembly Rear Out RH And LH (Outback Model)

CAUTION:
  • Before handling the airbag system components, refer to "CAUTION" of "General Description" in "AIRBAG SYSTEM". Ref. to AIRBAG SYSTEM>GENERAL DESCRIPTION>CAUTION .
  • Side impact sensor (under the rear center seat) for the airbag system is located under the front center of the rear seat cushion. Be careful not to apply strong impact to the sensor when working with the rear seat cushion removed.
  1. Before installation, perform a unit inspection of retractor. Ref. to SEAT BELT SYSTEM>REAR SEAT BELT>INSPECTION .
  2. Install the belt assembly rear OUT.

    Tightening torque: 

    30 N.m (3.1 kgf-m, 22.1 ft-lb)

  3. Install the trim panel assembly apron. Ref. to OUTBACK model .
  4. Install the rear seat cushion assembly and pad rear side. Ref. to SEATS>REAR SEAT>INSTALLATION .
  5. Connect the ground terminal to battery sensor. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
  6. After installation, check the following points.
    • The seat belt is not twisted.
    • The seat belt can be pulled out and retracted smoothly.
