DTC B1014: ACC Power Supply Circuit: Procedure

  1. CLEAR DTC 
    1. Clear the DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [07/2013 - ] .

    NEXT: Go to next step 

  2. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Check for DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [07/2013 - ] .
      RESULT

      Result Proceed to
      DTC B1014 is output A
      DTC is not output B

    B → See step   7 

    A: Go to next step 

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (VOLTAGE) 
    1. Disconnect the 3A and 3E instrument panel junction block assembly connectors.
    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      3A-20 - Body ground Ignition switch ACC 11 to 14 V
      3E-1 - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V

      (to Instrument Panel Junction Block Assembly)

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: Go to next step 

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (GROUND) See step   4 

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: Go to next step 

  5. INSPECT INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the instrument panel junction block assembly. Refer to REMOVAL [07/2013 - ] .
    2. Remove the main body ECU (network gateway ECU) from the instrument panel junction block assembly.

      *a Component without harness connected
      (Instrument Panel Junction Block Assembly)

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      3E-1 - MB-9 (ACC) No battery voltage is applied across terminals 3A-20 and 3A-12 10 kΩ or higher
      3E-1 - MB-9 (ACC) Battery voltage is applied across terminals 3A-20 and 3A-12 Below 1 Ω
      3B-18 - MB-11 (GND) Always Below 1 Ω

    NG → See step   8 

    OK → See step   6 

  6. REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (NETWORK GATEWAY ECU). Refer to  REMOVAL [07/2013 - ] 
  7. USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [07/2013 - 12/2013] 
  8. REPLACE INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [07/2013 - ] 


  1. CLEAR DTC 
    1. Clear the DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [07/2013 - ] .

    NEXT: Go to next step 

  2. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Check for DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [07/2013 - ] .

      DTC B1014 is output A
      DTC is not output B

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (VOLTAGE) 
    1. Disconnect the 3A and 3E instrument panel junction block assembly connectors.
    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

  5. INSPECT INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the instrument panel junction block assembly. Refer to REMOVAL [07/2013 - ] .
    2. Remove the main body ECU (network gateway ECU) from the instrument panel junction block assembly.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      3E-1 - MB-9 (ACC) Always 10 kΩ or higher
      3E-1 - MB-9 (ACC) Battery positive (+) → 3A-20 Battery negative (-) → 3A-12 or 3A-13 Below 1 Ω
      3B-18 - MB-11 (GND) Always Below 1 Ω

    NG → See step   10 

    OK → See step   8 

  6. INSPECT INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the instrument panel junction block assembly. Refer to REMOVAL [07/2013 - ] .
    2. Remove the main body ECU (network gateway ECU) from the instrument panel junction block assembly.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      3B-18 - MB-11 (GND) Always Below 1 Ω
      3E-1 - MB-9 (ACC) Always 10 kΩ or higher
      3E-1 - 3B-28 Always 10 kΩ or higher
      3E-1 - MB-9 (ACC) Battery positive (+) → 3A-20 Battery negative (-) → 3A-12 or 3A-13 Below 1 Ω
      3E-1 - 3B-28 Battery positive (+) → 3A-20 Battery negative (-) → 3A-12 or 3A-13 Below 1 Ω

    NG → See step   10 

    OK: Go to next step 

  7. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      3B-28 - D5-22 (ACC) Always Below 1 Ω
      3B-28 or D5-22 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK → See step   8 

  8. REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (NETWORK GATEWAY ECU). Refer to  REMOVAL [07/2013 - ] 
  9. USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [12/2013 - ] 
  10. REPLACE INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [07/2013 - ]
