Service Information Regarding Wiper-Related Diagnostics and Service Procedures for Vehicles Equipped with New Design Front Wiper Systems.

MODELS AFFECTED

2000 Saturn S-Series (LHD) vehicles built with the following VINs:

Sedans and Wagons Built between and including VINs YZ175414 and YZ175488.
Sedans and Wagons built between and including VINs YZ175921 and YZ175957.
All vehicles built between and including VINs YZ192445 and YZ192485.
All vehicles built between and including VINs YZ192928 and YZ192947.
Sedans and Wagons built after and including VIN YZ203153.

PURPOSE

The purpose of this bulletin is to provide service information on front wiper systems for vehicles equipped with the new design front wiper systems (second design wiper module and arms, and third design wiper blades).

In November and December 1999, approximately 150 Saturn S-Series (LHD) vehicles were built with the news design front wiper system. This wiper system went into full production in January, 2000.

NOTE: The new design wiper system cannot be serviced with previous design Saturn service parts. Refer to your Parts and Illustration Catalog for the correct Saturn service part usage.

Vehicles built with the VINs listed above.
The silver colored wiper motor.
