Circuit Description

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2000 Saturn LW2 and 2000 Saturn LS2. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

When ignition is turned on, ECM illuminates the MIL (bulb check). The voltage change on MIL control circuit is used as wake up signal to theft deterrent module. This DTC indicates that theft deterrent module has detected a problem within the theft deterrent module. The theft deterrent module sends a signal to the ECM and when the wrong frequency code is received, DTC sets.
