PURPOSE

The purpose of this bulletin is to provide Saturn Retailers with information to respond to customer inquiries regarding calendar year 2000 and the effect on their Saturn vehicle. The microprocessors used in all current and past model year Saturn vehicles do not store information by days, months, or years. The electronic modules utilized by Saturn are based on relative time, ignition cycles, miles, or time since the ignition was on. These operations are independent of any calendar date and the transition to the calender year 2000 should have no adverse effect.
