Air Bag (Inflator) Module: Removal
- Disable air bag. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM . Using small flat-blade screwdriver, pry screw caps from steering wheel. Remove and discard 4 air bag module screws from behind steering wheel.
- Pull air bag module outward from steering wheel. Using flat-blade screwdriver, remove integral connector lock device. Disconnect electrical connectors from rear of module. Remove module and set aside with trim cover facing upward.
