Power Brake Booster: Removal

  1. Remove the brace between the MacPherson struts. See Fig 1 .
  2. Remove the master cylinder. See MASTER CYLINDER  .
  3. Remove the vacuum hose from the power brake booster. See Fig 2 .
  4. Undo the main fuse box and place it to one side to improve accessibility.
  5. Remove the brake booster retaining nuts from the bracket.
  6. Remove the rubber boot from the bulkhead partition and pull it towards the booster unit.
  7. Remove the clip on the pushrod and lift out the brake booster unit.
