WIPERS REMAIN ON CONTINUOUSLY - PULSE WIPE MODULE CHANGE

CONDITION

Wipers remain on continuously and cannot be shut off, except when turning ignition off.

CAUSE

Wiper blades left parked high on the windshield can become stuck by ice and/or snow. When the ignition is turned from off to crank position, a transient voltage spike from the wiper motor can damage the pulse wiper module.

CORRECTION

Use Part Number 10036435 to replace the existing module. Be sure the ground wire screw is secured. Torque to 3.0-4.6 Nm (2-3 lb. ft.).
