Test Description
NOTE:
Test numbers refer to numbers on diagnostic chart. Use only 10-megohm (minimum) DVOM for all voltage and resistance tests.
- Checks if ABS warning light functions properly.
- Isolates cause of light constantly on to short to voltage, short in EBCM or open in power feed circuit.
- Checks if other codes are set or if Code 11 is falsely set.
- Ensures circuit integrity between EBCM and lamp driver module.
- Determines if ABS light remains on due to lamp driver malfunction or open in ABS warning light circuit.
- Checks for short to voltage in ABS warning light circuit.
- Checks for malfunctioning EBCM.
- Ensures ignition circuit to lamp driver module is functional.
- Isolates cause of ABS warning light remaining off.
- Isolates cause of ABS warning light remaining off due to short to ground or malfunctioning lamp driver module.
- Checks for open in power feed.
- Checks for open in GAGES fuse on power feed circuit.
- Checks for malfunctioning EBCM.
- Determines if LOW TRAC light can be properly controlled.
- Determines if LOW TRAC light is on constantly.
- Checks for short to ground in LOW TRAC light circuitry.
- Determines if Code 11 was set due to EBCM malfunction.
- Determines if Code 11 was set due to EBCM malfunction.
- Determines if LOW TRAC light can be controlled manually.
- Verifies integrity of LOW TRAC light circuitry.
- Checks for a short to voltage in LOW TRAC light circuitry.
- Determines if Code 11 was set due to EBCM malfunction.
