New AC Recycling Machine - R-1234yf 

SITUATION

Starting with the above models, 2017 model year and newer vehicles will utilize the improved environmentally friendlier AC refrigerant R-1234yf. The utilization of R-1234yf requires all new servicing equipment.

Never attempt to use R-134a servicing equipment on an R-1234yf system, or the reverse.  R-134a and R-1234yf vehicle AC fittings are not the same. For additional information on R-1234yf refer to SI M64 02 16 .
