	Notes on temporary tire sealing	Model 906	AH40.10-P-1090-01A
	Check
1	Check general condition of tire	In event of damage to side wall or outside the repair area, provisional sealing may not be used. Otherwise, the tire function cannot be ensured
2	Search for point of damage on tire and mark with chalk (3)	If no point of damage can be found, it is not possible to make a provisional seal. The search can also be performed on a removed wheel and tire assembly. Leakage detection spray for USA	*BR00.45-Z-1004-03A

		If necessary ↓ Remove affected wheel and tire assembly.	AR40.10-S-1100C

3	Remove the object that caused the damage from the tire
4	Check course, size and position of hole orifice at damage point	Hole orifices outside the specified repair area and with a diameter of over 6 mm must not be repaired. Otherwise complete sealing of the hole orifice cannot be assured.
	Provisionally seal
5	Screw hand milling cutter (2) in clockwise direction several times into and out of damage point's hole orifice	The hole orifice is cleaned here. Temporary tire sealing	*BR00.45-Z-1021-08A
6	Hook sealing body (4) into awl (5) and pull firmly in downward direction toward end of eyelet	Insert awl (5) with eyelet opening upwards through the sealing body (4). Temporary tire sealing	*BR00.45-Z-1021-08A
7	Release flipper handle on awl (5) by applying thumb pressure to the mounting frame bow and then open up to end stop	Temporary tire sealing	*BR00.45-Z-1021-08A
8	Hook sealing body (4) into clamping hook of awl (5) and close flipper handle until it latches into place	Check the sealing body (4) for cracks. The sealing body (4) must not exhibit any cracks. Temporary tire sealing	*BR00.45-Z-1021-08A
9	Immerse closed awl (5) with clamped sealing body (4) into "Special Cement BL" (1)	Temporary tire sealing	*BR00.45-Z-1021-08A
10	Feed awl (5) with clamped sealing body (4) in hole orifice up to end stop	The awl (5) must not be twisted when the sealing body (4) is inserted. Otherwise firm seating of the sealing body (4) cannot be assured. Temporary tire sealing	*BR00.45-Z-1021-08A
11	Cut off protruding end of sealing body (4) using knife (6) flush at the tread	Temporary tire sealing	*BR00.45-Z-1021-08A

12	Correct tire pressure of wheel and tire assembly to meet manufacturer's specifications
13	Check point of damage for leak tightness	It must be ensured that the point of damage is leak tight. Otherwise the road safety of the vehicle cannot be guaranteed. Leakage detection spray for USA	*BR00.45-Z-1004-03A

14	Install affected wheel and tire assembly	If affected wheel and tire assembly was removed.	AR40.10-S-1100C

16	Document "Provisional tire repair" roadside assistance on "Service 24 h Repair Order -Mercedes-Benz and smart" form and have customer sign it
