Replacing steering shaft boot - AR46.10-P-0621RK

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
DANGER Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform. Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer. AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
NOTES Notes on self-locking nuts and bolts   AH00.00-N-0001-01A
1 Secure vehicle on vehicle lift   AR00.60-P-0100TX
2 Lift vehicle on vehicle lift   AR00.60-P-1000TX
3 Move steering wheel into uppermost position    
4 Remove left cover below dashboard   AR68.10-P-1500RK
5 Move steering wheel to assembly position IMPORTANT Turn the steering wheel until the bolt (3) is accessible.  
6 Remove bolt (3) and move steering wheel to center position TORQUE SPECIFICATION Screw/bolt, lower steering shaft to upper steering shaft *BA46.10-P-1003-01M 
7 Detach steering coupling (25) from lower steering shaft (80a)   AR46.10-P-8000RK 
8 Remove lower steering shaft (80a) from upper steering shaft (80b)    
9 Detach boot (2) from firewall and remove lower steering shaft (80a) with boot (2) IMPORTANT The lower steering shaft (80a) is divided into two parts and assembled loosely together. Do not pull the lower steering shaft (80a) apart.  
10 Remove boot (2) from lower steering shaft (80a) IMPORTANT Do not pull the lower steering shaft (80a) apart. If the lower steering shaft (80a) has been pulled apart:

Assemble the lower steering shaft.

11 Install in the reverse order
