Injector Fuel Leakage

  1. Remove fuel rail assembly from intake manifold. See appropriate ENGINES article in the ENGINE MECHANICAL section. Reconnect fuel lines to fuel rail. Connect a jumper wire between data link connector terminal FP and chassis ground. See Fig 1 .
  2. Turn ignition on and check for fuel leaks from injectors. Fuel leakage should be less than one drop every 2 minutes. If fuel leakage exists, remove injector and check "O" ring and fuel rail for damage. Replace as necessary.
