Transmission Range (Tr) Sensor (A/T)

  1. Check TR sensor adjustment. See appropriate article in TRANSMISSION SERVICING section. Adjust as necessary. With sensor adjusted properly, go to next step.
  2. Disconnect TR sensor connector. Install Transmission Tester (49 UN01 071) and TR Sensor Overlay and Cable (49 UN01 154). Following instructions on overlay, perform TR sensor test. If status light on tester cable does not match selected gear position, replace sensor.
