TCS Off Indicator Light & TCS Warning Light Illuminate During Driving

  1. Check for ABS and TCS related Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs). See RETRIEVING DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES  under DIAGNOSIS & TESTING. If no DTCs are present, go to next step. If any DTCs are present, perform appropriate test under DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE TESTING  .
  2. Check for engine control system related DTCs. See appropriate article:

    If no DTCs are present, go to next step. If any DTCs are present, repair as necessary.

  3. Check wiring harness between ABS/TCS control module and TCS OFF indicator light. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Also check wiring harness between ABS/TCS control module and TCS warning indicator light. Repair wiring harness as necessary. If wiring harness is okay, replace ABS/TCS control module.
