Test No. 1

  1. Check POWER SEAT fuse (30-amp) located in joint box near left kick panel. If fuse is good, go to next step. If fuse is blown, replace fuse. Repair circuit as necessary.
  2. Measure voltage at Yellow wire terminal of control switch 6-pin connector. Backprobe connector terminal. If battery voltage does not exist, repair Yellow wire between POWER SEAT fuse and control switch. If battery voltage exists, go to next step.
  3. Disconnect control switch connector. Check Black wire for continuity between ground and control switch connector. If continuity does not exist, repair Black wire between ground and control switch. If continuity exists, go to next step.
  4. Reconnect control switch connector. Measure voltage at indicated wire terminals of power seat motor connectors with control switch in specified position. See VOLTAGE TEST  . If battery voltage exists at all wire terminals of all motor connectors, check motor. See MOTOR TEST  under COMPONENT TESTS. If voltage does not exist at any wire terminal of any motor connector, check control switch. See CONTROL SWITCH TEST  under COMPONENT TESTS.
