Steering Gear Housing: Reassembly

  1. Lubricate NEW seals and seal bore using multipurpose grease. Place dust seal on Seal Installer (T77L-3576-A ) with raised lip of seal facing installer. Place pressure seal on installer with lip facing away from installer. See Fig 1 .
  2. Insert installer into sector shaft bore. Drive in until seals just clear snap ring groove. DO NOT bottom seals against bearing. Install snap ring. Apply grease to area between seal lips.
