Power Window Motor: Removal
- Raise window to full UP position, if possible. If glass cannot be raised and is in a partially down position, it must be supported so it will not fall into door well during motor removal. Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove door trim panel and water shield. See DOOR TRIM PANEL & WATER SHIELD .
- Disconnect power window motor electrical connector, and position wiring harness out of the way. There are two holes and one drill dimple located on door inner panel adjacent to power window motor. Make sure regulator arm is in a fixed position before removing power window motor to prevent unwinding of counterbalance spring.
- Remove three power window motor mounting screws, and disengage motor and drive assembly from regulator quadrant gear. Remove power window motor from door.
