In-Vehicle Repair: Flexplate: Installation

    Romeo engine (4.6L) 

  1. Position the flexplate and install the bolts.

    Tighten the bolts in two stages:

    • Stage 1: loosely install the bolts.
    • Stage 2: tighten the bolts in sequence shown.

    2. Windsor engine (5.4L) 

  2. Position the flexplate and install the bolts.

    Tighten the bolts in two stages:

    • Stage 1: loosely install the bolts.
    • Stage 2: tighten the bolts in sequence shown.

    3. All vehicles
