Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD)

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2004 Lincoln Town Car. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The electronic brake distribution (EBD) controls rear brake pressure and acts as an electronic proportioning valve. It is controlled by the anti-lock brake control module. EBD will remain functional if there are one or two anti-lock brake control wheel speed sensor faults. When EBD is disabled, the brake warning indicator will illuminate.
