Camshaft Roller Follower: Removal

  1. Remove the valve covers. For additional information, refer to VALVE COVER RH  or VALVE COVER LH .
  2. Position the piston of the cylinder being repaired at the bottom of the stroke.
  3. Install the special tool between the valve spring coils to prevent valve stem seal damage.

  4. Use the special tool to compress the valve springs and remove the cam roller followers.
