On-Vehicle Inspection [10/2014 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL SOLENOID ASSEMBLY 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Start the engine.
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Active Test / Control the Intake VVT OCV Duty Ratio Bank 1 / Data List / Gas Intake Control / Intake VVT Change Angle Bank 1.

      Powertrain > Engine > Active Test 

      Active Test Display
      Control the Intake VVT OCV Duty Ratio Bank 1
      Data List Display
      Intake VVT Change Angle Bank 1
    5. Read the Data List when the Active Test was performed during idling.

      OK

      Techstream Operation Intake VVT Change Angle Bank 1
      -100% to 100% Varies by 70° FR or more
