System Outline

The rear wiper and washer system is controlled by the sub-body ECU.

This system has the following functions:

1. Rear Wiper Normal Operation Function 

   If the rear wiper and washer switch is turned to the INT or ON position, the sub-body ECU operates the rear wiper motor and controls in accordance with the selected mode.

2. Washer-Linked Wiper with Drip-Preventive Function 

   To prevent the washer fluid from dripping after the washer has been operated, this function activates the wipers a single time after they have operated in unison with the washer.

3. Vehicle Speed Switching Function 

   When the rear wiper is operating in the ON mode and the vehicle speed is 0 km/h, the wiper automatically switches to the INT mode.

4. Reverse-Linked Function 

   This function operates the rear wiper once if the shift lever is shifted into reverse while the front wiper is in operation, or if the lever is shifted within 17 seconds of the front wiper operation ceasing.

5. Washer Operation Function 

   If the rear wiper and washer switch is switched to the washer mode, the sub-body ECU operates the washer motor and controls the washer.
