ABSORBER CONTROL ACTUATOR (for Rear Side): Inspection

  1. INSPECT ABSORBER CONTROL ACTUATOR 
    1. Measure the resistance of the actuator.

      Standard resistance 

      STANDARD RESISTANCE REFERENCE

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      1 (B+) - 3 (GND) 12.0 to 12.8 Ω
      2 (A+) - 3 (GND)
      4 (B-) - 3 (GND)
      5 (A-) - 3 (GND)

    2. Check the shaft stop position.
      1. Connect the connector to the absorber control actuator.
      2. Check absorber control actuator operation (see OPERATION CHECK  ).
        1. Enter TEST MODE and turn the power switch ON (READY).
        2. Check the shaft rotation when depressing the brake pedal.

          OK: 

          Every time the brake pedal is depressed, the absorber control actuator rotates in the hard to soft direction in 15° intervals up to a maximum angle of 120°.
