Inspection Procedure
NOTE:
When using the intelligent tester (with CAN VIM) or Techstream with the engine switch off to troubleshoot:
Connect the intelligent tester (with CAN VIM) or Techstream to the vehicle, and turn a courtesy switch on and off at 1.5 second intervals until communication between the tester and vehicle begins.
Connect the intelligent tester (with CAN VIM) or Techstream to the vehicle, and turn a courtesy switch on and off at 1.5 second intervals until communication between the tester and vehicle begins.
HINT:
DTC B2325 is output when the communication between all of the following components and main body ECU stops.
- CLEAR DTC
- Delete the DTC (see DTC CHECK / CLEAR ).
- CHECK FOR DTC
- Recheck for DTC (see DTC CHECK / CLEAR
).
Result:
RESULTResult Proceed to DTC B2323 output reoccurs A DTC B2323 output does not reoccur B
B: USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK (See HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING )
A: GO TO NEXT STEP
- Recheck for DTC (see DTC CHECK / CLEAR
).
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MAIN BODY ECU - REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR RH)
- Disconnect the L11 ECU connector.
- Disconnect the 08 motor connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance
MAIN BODY ECU - REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR RHTester Connection Condition Specified Condition L11-10(LIN2)-08-9 (LIN) Always Below 1 Ω L11-10(LIN2)or 08-9 (LIN) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: GO TO NEXT STEP
- CHECK REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR RH (BATTERY VOLTAGE AND GROUND)
- Disconnect the 08 motor connector.
- Measure the resistance and voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance
REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR RH (BATTERY VOLTAGE AND GROUND) RESISTANCETester Connection Condition Specified Condition 08-1 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω Standard voltage
REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR RH (BATTERY VOLTAGE AND GROUND) VOLTAGETester Connection Condition Specified Condition 08-2 (B) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V
NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: GO TO NEXT STEP
- REPLACE REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR RH
- Temporarily replace the rear power window regulator motor RH with a new or normally functioning one (see REMOVAL ).
- Delete the DTC (see DTC CHECK / CLEAR ).
- CHECK FOR DTC
- Recheck for DTC (see DTC CHECK / CLEAR
).
Result:
RESULTResult Proceed to DTC B2323 output reoccurs B DTC B2323 output does not reoccur A
B: REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU
A: END (REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR RH IS DEFECTIVE)
- Recheck for DTC (see DTC CHECK / CLEAR
).
