Sending Unit Test
- Remove fuel gauge sending unit. Connect three 1.5-volt dry-cell batteries in series. At fuel gauge sending unit connector, connect positive lead from dry-cell battery assembly to terminal No. 2. Connect negative lead to terminal No. 3. See Fig 1.
- Measure voltage across terminals No. 1 and 3 of sending unit connector in each float position indicated in table. See FUEL GAUGE SENDING UNIT VOLTAGE TEST table. If voltage is not as specified, replace sending unit.
