Power Steering Oil Pump: Installation

  1. After installing the oil pump to the oil pump bracket, tighten pump bolts to the specified torque.

    Tightening torque: 

    18-23 N.m (1.8-2.3 kg. m, 13-16 lb. ft)

  2. Install the belt and tighten the tension adjusting bolt.

  3. Install the suction hose.
  4. Install the pressure hose to the oil pump.
    NOTE: Install the pressure hose being careful so that it does not twist and come in contact with other components.

  5. Add power steering fluid (PSF-III).
  6. Air bleed the system.
  7. Check the oil pump pressure.
