Removal (Spectra)

Fuel pump is located in fuel pump assembly along with fuel sender unit. Release fuel system pressure. See FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE . Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove rear seat cushion. Disconnect harness connectors and remove access cover. Disconnect fuel hoses from fuel pump assembly. Remove 6 screws and lift fuel pump assembly from fuel tank. Cover high-pressure hose connection with shop towels to prevent fuel leakage. Lift fuel pump assembly from fuel tank.
