Removal And Installation: 1.4L

REMOVAL 

1. Open the fuse box casing lid in the engine compartment and remove fuse F21 (15 A) from the fuel pump.
2. Start-up several times until all the pressure in the fuel distribution manifold has discharged.
3. Fit the fuse removed previously and close the fuse box casing.
4. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
5. Remove the engine cover. Refer to COVER, ENGINE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

6. Disconnect the injector wiring coupling (1).

7. Release the fuel vapor solenoid valve (1) from the retaining bracket.
8. Disconnect the fuel vapor solenoid valve wire harness connector (2).
9. Compress the clip and disconnect the quick coupling for the solenoid valve vapor inlet pipe (3).

10. Compress the clip and disconnect the quick coupling for the fuel vapor inlet pipe to the turbocharger intake (1).

11. Loosen the band and disconnect the fuel vapor intake pipe (1).
12. Remove the fuel vapor solenoid valve (2).

13. Open the retaining clips (1) and release the pipes.
14. Undo the fastenings (2) and remove the air chamber reinforcement bracket.

15. Disconnect the intake air pressure/temperature sensor wire harness connector and release the wiring retaining clip from the air chamber.

16. Disconnect the quick coupling for the fuel supply pipe (1).
17. Undo the screws (2a) and remove the single fuel manifold pipe (2b) with injectors.

INSTALLATION 

1. Place the single fuel manifold pipe complete with injectors in its housing and tighten the screws.
2. Connect the fuel supply pipe quick coupling.
3. Connect the wire harness for the intake air pressure/temperature sensor and engage the wiring retaining clip with the air chamber.
4. Place the air chamber reinforcement bracket in its housing and tighten the fasteners.
5. Engage the pipes and close the retaining clips.
6. Place the fuel vapor solenoid valve in its housing.
7. Connect the fuel vapor intake pipe and tighten the band.
8. Connect the fuel vapor supply pipe quick coupling to the turbocharger intake.
9. Connect the vapor inlet pipe quick coupling to the solenoid valve.
10. Connect the electrical connection for the fuel vapor solenoid valve.
11. Engage the fuel vapor solenoid valve with the retaining bracket.
12. Connect the injector wiring connector.
13. Install the engine cover. Refer to COVER, ENGINE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
14. Connect the negative battery cable.
