- Transfer the tie rod ends to the new steering gear (if needed).
- Install the steering gear (1) to the vehicle.
- Install the gear mounting bolts (2) to the front cradle and tighten to 176 N.m (130 ft.lbs.).

- Install the power steering lines (1, 2) to the gear (3) and tighten the tube nuts to 27 N.m (20 ft.lbs.).
- Install the oil filter trough and filter.
- Install the axle mounting bracket.
- Install the left lower control arm into position and install the cam/bolt.
- Install the tie rod end to the knuckle and tighten the nuts to 41 N.m (30 ft. lbs.), plus an additional 90° turn.
- Install the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to WHEELS, STANDARD PROCEDURE

- Remove the supports and lower the vehicle.

- Install the lower coupler pinch bolt (1), slide the coupler on to the gear and tighten the pinch bolt to 53 N.m (39 ft.lbs.).

- Install the battery tray (1). Refer to TRAY, BATTERY, INSTALLATION

- Install the battery. Refer to BATTERY, INSTALLATION
.
- Reinstall the power center back into place.
- Reconnect the battery cables (3).
- Unlock the steering wheel.
- Fill the power steering fluid. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Perform a wheel alignment. Refer to WHEEL ALIGNMENT, STANDARD PROCEDURE
