Rear Door Window Motor: Installation
- Position motor/regulator assembly in door and fit onto glass. Align motor with door holes and tighten securing screws and nuts. Position glass lift guide and install but DO NOT tighten securing screws. Align glass lift guide with marked screw positions and fully tighten screws. Remove tape securing glass to top of door frame.
- Connect a switched and fused 12-volt power supply to motor, and raise glass fully down and up. Draw a horizontal line on exterior of glass along top edge of glass, and vertically down along front edge ("B" pillar side).
- Lower glass to ensure it is seating squarely in the seal. If glass is tilted rearward, move glass guide downward in slot. If glass is tilted forward, move glass guide upward in slot. Reposition guide and tighten screw. Clean lines from glass and recheck glass alignment. Readjust if necessary.
- Raise glass to fully closed position and disconnect battery from motor. Loosen regulator up-stop bolt. Move stop rearward to abut regulator quadrant, and tighten regulator up-stop bolt. Apply waterproof tape to hole in water shield.
- Connect lift motor connector. Install door module. Reposition PVC weatherstrip. Position water shield and carefully pass harness connectors through opening. Ensuring door mating surfaces are clean and dry, firmly seat water shield. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure.
