Diagnostic Procedure

  1. Check for TCM DTCs. If TCM DTCs are not indicated, go to next step. If any TCM DTC is indicated, see appropriate DIAGNOSIS article in AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSIONS.
  2. Check for VDC/TCS/ABS DTCs. If VDC/TCS/ABS DTCs are not indicated, go to next step. If any VDC/TCS/ABS DTC is indicated, see appropriate ANTI-LOCK article in BRAKES.
  3. Check combination meter. See appropriate GAUGES & INSTRUMENT PANELS article in ACCESSORIES & EQUIPMENT. Repair as necessary.
