DTC P0325 - Knock Sensor (KS)

NOTE: Freeze frame data will not be stored in the ECM for the knock sensor. The MIL will not light for a knock sensor malfunction.
  1. Check Input Signal Circuit Turn ignition off. Disconnect knock sensor sub-harness connector. See Fig 1. Verify harness continuity between knock sensor connector terminal "2" (White wire) and ECM terminal No. 64. See Fig 2. If continuity is present, go to next step. If continuity is not present, repair harness or connectors as necessary.
  2. Leave ignition off. Verify continuity between knock sensor connector terminal "1" and engine ground. See Fig 3. If continuity is present, go to next step. If continuity is not present, repair harness or connectors as necessary.
  3. Check Component With ambient temperature about 77°F (25°C), measure resistance between ground and KS sensor terminal No. 2. See Fig 4. Resistance should be 500-620 k/ohms. If resistance is as specified, go to next step. If resistance is not as specified, replace KS sensor.
  4. Disconnect ECM wiring harness connector. Check connector pins for damage or corrosion. Check all circuit connectors for clean, tight fit and service if necessary. Loosen and retighten engine ground screws. See Figure. If fault is still present, replace KS sensor.
