Preliminary Checks

Check for vacuum and intake air leaks.

• Check fast idle cam.
• Check IACV-air regulator. See I - SYS/COMP TESTS article in the ENGINE PERFORMANCE Section.
• Check throttle linkage for sticking or binding.
