Hard Failures

Hard failures cause Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) to illuminate and remain on until problem is repaired. If light comes on and remains on during vehicle operation, retrieve code(s). See RETRIEVING CODES (NON-SCAN). See Figure and Figure , and DIAGNOSTIC CODES (MALFUNCTION INDICATOR LIGHT) table to determine cause of malfunction.
