SERVICE INFORMATION
Hot summer weather is just around the corner. To ensure the most effective troubleshooting of A/C performance problems, it's important to follow the A/C diagnostic procedures available on ISIS. The A/C Diagnostic process provides the approved flow for doing the various A/C inspections and tests.
The basic diagnostic process is as follows (refer to ISIS for the complete process):
- The A/C System Inspection:
- Perform visual and operational checks of the A/C system components.
- Refrigerant Charge Confirmation:
- Confirm the refrigerant charge by measuring the weight of the amount recovered.
- Must use your Robinair 48920T/34788 (or equivalent SAE J2788 certified A/C machine).
- Perform a leak test if vehicle refrigerant is undercharged.
- The A/C Performance Test (Interactive Job Aid):
- Confirms A/C refrigerant system components operation.
- Provides a summary page of test results in PDF format. This document is required and must be attached to the repair order if you claim LON 622001 "A/C Performance - Test."
If you have completed the above process and are experiencing A/C performance problems, contact Tech Line with the results of your diagnosis in hand.
A/C self-study training modules are available on the Online University.
