DTC 15 - Abs Enable Relay Contact Circuit Shorted To Battery: Notes

Ignition voltage is supplied through terminal No. 2 of the ABS enable relay. The EBCM engages pull-in coil of relay by completing the ground circuit at terminal D6 of the EBCM. This energizes relay windings, closing the internal contacts which supplies power to the motors and solenoids.
DTC 15 can set only before the EBCM commands the ABS enable relay on.
NOTE:
Test numbers refer to test numbers on diagnostic chart.
- Indicates EBCM is capable of controlling the ABS enable relay as commanded.
- Checks for short to voltage in circuit 9B01.
- Isolates short to voltage to circuit 9B01 or faulty ABS relay.
- Checks for intermittent poor contact in wiring or connectors.
