Diagnostic Aids

If MIL starts to flash Code 12, but does not flash Code 12 three times, cause of this condition could be a short in one of the following circuits.

• A/C clutch circuit
• Canister purge circuit
• EGR valve Vacuum Switch Valve (VSV) circuit
• Shift indicator light circuit

If no problem is found, ECM is faulty.
