Installation Procedure

  1. Install Turbocharger. Turbocharger Replacement
    2. Fig 1: Exhaust Manifold and Turbocharger Assembly

    NOTE:

    Install a NEW exhaust manifold gasket.

  2. Install Exhaust Manifold Gasket (1)
  3. Install Exhaust Manifold and Turbocharger Assembly (2)

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  4. Install Exhaust Manifold Nut (1) and tighten 32 N.m (24 lb ft)

  5. Turbocharger Oil Feed Pipe Nut (3) Tighten 32 N.m (24 lb ft)
  6. Install Turbocharger Brace Bolt (2) and tighten 32 N.m (24 lb ft)
  7. Install Turbocharger Coolant Feed Pipe Hollow Screw (1) and tighten 35 N.m (26 lb ft)
  8. Install Catalytic Converter. Catalytic Converter Replacement (LWN)

  9. Connect Radiator Surge Tank Outlet Hose (2) @Turbocharger Coolant Return Pipe
  10. Install Radiator Surge Tank Outlet Hose Clamp (1)
  11. Install Exhaust Manifold Heat Shield. Exhaust Manifold Heat Shield Replacement (LWN)
