Intermediate Shaft: Removal

  1. Remove the front halfshaft RH. Refer to: Front Halfshaft RH - 2.0L EcoBoost (184kW/250PS) - MI4, All-Wheel Drive (AWD) . Refer to: Front Halfshaft RH - 2.7L EcoBoost (238kW/324PS), All-Wheel Drive (AWD) .
  2. Remove and discard the circlip and O-Ring seal from the intermediate shaft.

  3. Remove and discard the intermediate shaft mounting bolts.

  4. Install two 6mm x 1.0 x 20mm bolts into the flange threads.

  5. Turn bolts evenly one turn at a time and remove the intermediate shaft.

  6. Remove and discard the intermediate shaft bearing O-ring seal.
