A/C CLUTCH AIR GAP

A/C Clutch Air Gap Check:

1. Check the clutch air gap between the clutch hub and pulley mating surfaces with a feeler gauge. The air gap should be between 0.45-0.85 mm (0.018-0.033 inch). Check at three locations equally spaced around the pulley.
2. If the clutch air gap is not within 0.45-0.85 mm (0.018-0.033 inch), add, remove, or replace shims between the A/C clutch and compressor shaft end as necessary until the air gap is within specified limits.
