NOTE: Perform VTSS TEST 1A before proceeding with this test. For connector terminal identification and wiring diagrams, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION section in this article. Perform VERIFICATION TEST VER-1A after each repair.
CAUTION: Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
NOTE: Replacement of Body Control Module (BCM) or multifunction switch will cause inconsistent wiper delay times.
  1. Operate wipers in intermittent mode. If wiper delay times are okay, go to next step. If wiper delay times are inconsistent, reset wiper switch minimum using scan tool.Retest intermittent wiper operation.
  2. Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, observe wiper voltage while moving stalk switch through all intermittent wiper positions. If voltage does not change, replace multifunction switch. Reset wiper switch minimum. If voltage does change, replace BCM. Reset wiper switch minimum.
