Diagnostic Test
- CHECK ECM FOR CAN BUS DTCS
- With the scan tool, check for any ECM CAN BUS DTCs.
Are there any ECM CAN BUS DTCs set?
Yes
- Refer to Non-DTC Diagnostics/Communication - Diagnosis and Testing and perform the appropriate diagnostic procedure.
No
- Go to step 2
- With the scan tool, check for any ECM CAN BUS DTCs.
- CHECK THE TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE
Repair
- Check the Service Information Bulletins for any possible causes that may apply. If no problems are found, replace or repair the Transmission Control Module Assembly (TCMA) for an internal hydraulic problem(s) in the clutch 2 hydraulic control circuit.
- Perform the MPS6 VERIFICATION TEST. See DTC-Based Diagnostics/MODULE, Transmission Control (TCM) - Standard Procedure .
