Circuit/System Description

A direct current (DC) fast charge drive motor battery charger cable allows vehicles equipped with RPO CBT to be charged using a 480 V offboard DC charger. The hybrid/EV powertrain control module 2 and power line communication module automatically prohibit voltage transfer to the hybrid/EV battery charger receptacle if an internal fault or inadequate voltage is detected. If no faults are detected, voltage transfer to the hybrid/EV battery charger receptacle occurs.
