Removal Procedure

  1. Remove front bumper fascia. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Removal and Installation .
  2. Remove as much power steering fluid from the remote power steering fluid reservoir as possible.
  3. Place drain pans under the vehicle as needed.
  4. Fig 1: Inlet Hose And Clip

  5. Remove power steering gear inlet hose bolt (1).
  6. Remove inlet hose (3) from clip (2).

  8. Unscrew hollow screw (1).
  9. Remove and DISCARD washer (2).
  10. Remove inlet pipe (3) from power steering pump.

  12. Unscrew 3 bracket nuts (1).
  13. Remove power steering gear inlet pipe (2) from vehicle.
  14. Extract the steering gear oil seal from the steering gear.
