Circuit Description

Vehicle Theft Deterrent (VTD) module produces a theft deterrent fuel enable signal when ignition is on and proper key resistor pellet is sensed by VTD module. PCM monitors fuel enable signal during cranking.

DTC will set when engine is running, PCM detects fuel enable signal is not present or incorrect and conditions are present longer than 2 seconds.
