Test E: One Power Seat Inoperative

  1. Using a test light connected to ground, backprobe suspect power seat adjuster switch connector terminal "F" (Orange/Black wire on driver's side; Orange wire on passenger's side). If test light illuminates, go to next step. If test light does not illuminate, go to step  6 .
  2. Connect test light between power seat adjuster switch connector terminals "F" (Orange/Black wire on driver's side; Orange wire on passenger's side) and "C" (Black wire). If test light illuminates, go to next step. If test light does not illuminate, go to step  7 .
  3. Check for poor connections at power seat adjuster switch. If connections are faulty, go to next step. If connections are okay, go to step  5 .
  4. Repair poor connections at power seat adjuster switch. Retest system. See POWER SEAT SYSTEM CHECK  under TROUBLE SHOOTING.
  5. Replace power seat adjuster switch. See POWER SEAT ADJUSTER SWITCH  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Retest system. See POWER SEAT SYSTEM CHECK  under TROUBLE SHOOTING.
  6. Repair poor connection or open in Orange wire between power seat adjuster switch and splice S302. Retest system. See POWER SEAT SYSTEM CHECK  under TROUBLE SHOOTING.
  7. Repair poor connection or open in Black wire between power seat adjuster switch and splice S333. Retest system. See POWER SEAT SYSTEM CHECK  under TROUBLE SHOOTING.
