Test D: Low Traction Indicator Always On

  1. Perform diagnostic system check. See DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  under DIAGNOSIS & TESTING. After performing diagnostic system check, go to next step.
  2. Install a scan tool. Turn ignition on, with engine off. Using scan tool, go to OUTPUT CONTROLS in instrument panel display. Using the WOW mode on scan tool, turn instrument panel indicators on and off. The LOW TRAC indicator should turn on and then off when commanded. If LOW TRAC indicator turns on then off, go to next step. If LOW TRAC indicator does not turn on then off, go to step  4 .
  3. Replace EBCM. After replacing EBCM, go to step  5 .
  4. Repair or replace instrument panel. After repairs, go to next step.
  5. Using scan tool, clear DTCs. Recheck DTCs. If DTC resets, go to step  2 . If DTC does not reset, system is okay.
